Season’s Greetings

With winter holidays having begun, and the new year steadfast approaching, I am very excited to announce a few special events which i’m eagerly anticipating over the next week or so.

My 2023 closing revue is set for Wednesday December 13th at Madame Vic’s, one of my most beloved venues! I have planned a very special solo set to start the evening, which includes a variety of my favorite holiday tunes with all sorts of unique arrangements of my favorite seasonal songs. To follow, I am honored to be joined by Dhani Adomaitis and few friends for a Winter “SOUL-stice” celebration of crowd favorites. I’m already prepared to begin baking for the occasion, using recipes from MiMi Sol’s traditional confectionary delights.

Then on the following Saturday December 16th, i’m off to Thibodaux (Louisiana) for another LaLa Soul performance at Big Mike’s Smokehouse. Serving up some Rhythm & Blues, Rock & Roll, and a whole lotta SOUL with my South American “sister from another mister” (Ana De Ferreira)

The next day, Sunday December 17th, my Guitar Center students will be performing their Winter Recital at the New Orleans’ Jazz History Museum (located in the old US mint). I am always overjoyed for these occasions, and (of course) any chance I get to play on their stage piano, but our holiday recital has always been my favorite of the year! I’m also looking forward to exploring some of the new exhibits i’ve heard about in the museum afterwards, as per my own personal tradition.

…and finally, I will be returning to the square with my original paintings. Over the remainder of the year, my 2023 collection of art will be for sale through Metacoustic Music & Arts (DBA) in the french quarter on select days. Be sure to follow my instagram account to be informed of what days and times I will be painting in the square, and also keep your eyes open for new prints coming to my art shop as well. I have decided that 50% of all proceeds from print sales will be donated to benefit a different charity/non-profit each month, starting in 2024.
